IT Cell

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in pursuance to implementation of e-Governance has launched an online portal ‘SUGAM’ (www[dot]cdscoonline[dot]gov[dot]in) on 14.11.2015. Various services rendered by CDSCO are rolled out in phases. Following activities of CDSCO are presently performed through the SUGAM Portal:

  • Import Registration and licensing of drugs and medical devices

  • Registration of Cosmetics

  • Registration of Ethic Committee

  • Permission to conduct Clinical Trial

  • Permission to conduct Bioavailability and Bioequivalence for export purpose

  • Personal permit for import of drug by individual patient

  • Test licence for import of small quantities of drugs for test and analysis purpose

  • Export NOC

  • Vaccines- Import & Registration, Form 44

  • Registration of Formulation R & D organisations

  • Blood Bank registration

  • Registration of Notified bodies for Medical Devices

User registration on Medical Devices Portal was launched on 1st Jan 2018.

Apart from the above activities, laboratory module for CDL, Kasauli was already initiated and SUGAM also builds a comprehensive database of  the various permissions and licenses issued by State FDAs. This includes details of manufacturers, manufacturing site and drug formulations.

In addition to the above, the following activities are performed:

  • Preparing noting for Government Dak and other Ministerial receipts for further validation by higher officials.

  • Extending day to day support to all existing IT-enabled services.

  • Extending necessary assistance to all the zones/sub-zones/Port Offices/Labs in all matters relating to the proper functioning of IT services.

  • Handling of complaints regarding IT through a single window i.e it-helpdesk@cdsco.nic.in
